Key concepts: BMI
BMI = weight (kg) ÷ height (m)². This tool uses Asia-Pacific cutoffs: under 18.5 underweight, 18.5–22.9 normal, 23–24.9 overweight, 25+ obese. WHO often treats overweight from 25, so categories can differ.
Body fat, muscle mass, and medical conditions are not included. The number can feel worrying, but it is for reference and does not replace health advice or a medical diagnosis.
Example
Enter height 170 cm and weight 65 kg to see BMI and a category label immediately. The same weight can fall in a different category depending on height.
