How to use
- Read the number in the circle and type it in Number you see. Maximum two digits.
- Press Check or Enter. A correct answer raises the hit count.
- Progress runs from 1/8 to 8/8, then the next circle.
- After 8 plates you only see hits and a notice that this is not a clinical test and does not diagnose color-vision deficiency.
- Retry to practice from the start. Screens, lighting, and color calibration change results.
- Refreshing before 8 plates clears the hit count. Do not use the score as a medical opinion.
Key concepts: color-discrimination practice vs Ishihara
Ishihara is a standard plate used in ophthalmology and military conscription. Circles on this page are original round numbers, not copies of Ishihara plates. They are not dotted camouflage plates; they are an 8-plate quiz that only changes background vs digit contrast. They do not follow clinical color-vision procedure (distance, lux, error-pattern interpretation).
The hit count is practice only and does not diagnose color-vision deficiency, color blindness, or color weakness. Monitor calibration, blue-light filters, indoor lighting, and polarized sunglasses swing the score. If everyday traffic lights or wire colors are hard, consider an eye exam. This is not a clinical test and does not produce a statement for submission.
Example
If the first circle looks like 12, enter 12 and check. Middle plates mix one- and two-digit numbers. After all 8 plates you only see hits such as “6 / 8” with no diagnostic phrase. On a laptop with a filter on, the same circle can look washed out. Pressing Retry in the middle resets hits from 0. A low score does not attach a disease name. Checking with an empty number field counts that plate wrong and moves on.

Frequently asked questions
Is this color-discrimination practice an Ishihara test?
No. It is an original round-number quiz and does not copy standard plates. Do not use it as clinical Ishihara.
Does it diagnose color blindness or weakness?
No. It only shows how many plates you got right and does not split types (red-green, etc.).
Is it for military conscription or a driver’s license?
It is not for submission. Take official tests at designated sites. Do not put a screenshot score on documents.
Why does it look different on each screen?
Brightness, night mode, and polarizing film change contrast. Practice scores can differ, so comparing devices has little meaning.
If I miss several plates, is something wrong?
It does not speak to deficiency. If it bothers you, see a professional. Do not diagnose from misses.
Are entered numbers saved?
No. Only the hit count in this tab is shown briefly and disappears on refresh. Practice records are not collected on a server. This is not a diagnosis.
