How to use
- Enter the meal or gathering amount in total (KRW). The default example is 100,000 KRW. Thousands separators may appear.
- Enter people. Default is 4. Zero or less is not calculated.
- If there is a service charge, enter tip (%). Otherwise leave 0.
- Press Calculate to see the total including tip and the per-person amount. Display is rounded KRW.
- Different menu amounts are still split evenly, so subtract personal items first to set the total.
Key concepts
The split-the-bill calculator (Dutch pay) quickly divides a check with an optional tip. Total = amount × (1 + tip/100); per person = total ÷ people. Currency display is KRW. There is no itemized per-menu split—only an even split. If orders differ, pull personal amounts out of the total first to reduce arguments. Display is rounded to KRW.
Fractional won are rounded, so people × per-person can differ from the total by 1 KRW. Amounts are not sent to a server. Decide who covers the leftover won.
Example
Total 100,000 KRW, 4 people, 0% tip → 25,000 KRW each. 10% tip → total 110,000 KRW, 27,500 KRW each. With 3 people and 0% tip it is about 33,333 KRW (rounded). 58,000 KRW, 5 people, 0% tip → 11,600 KRW each. 5% tip → total 60,900 KRW, 12,180 KRW each. 72,000 KRW, 6 people, 0% tip → 12,000 KRW each. 8% tip → total 77,760 KRW.
