How to use
- Enter the trip in distance (km). For a round trip, enter round-trip km. Default example is 100.
- Enter real combined or trip economy in economy (km/L). Default is 12.
- Enter today’s station price in fuel price (KRW/L). Default is 1,650 KRW.
- Press Calculate to see required fuel (L) and cost.
- Hybrids work if actual economy is correct. For EVs you can put kWh price in the fuel-price field and km/kWh in the economy field as a workaround.
Key concepts
The fuel cost calculator previews trip fuel cost, KRW per km, and round-trip petrol. Fuel = distance ÷ economy; cost = fuel × price. Congestion, A/C, and cargo weight can worsen economy and raise actual cost. For a round trip, double the distance.
Diesel and gasoline use the same formula—only change the price field. Simple math, not sent to a server. EV efficiency and kWh price can be approximated this way but it is not a dedicated formula. Trip computer economy is closer to real driving than the official rating.
Example
100 km, 12 km/L, 1,650 KRW/L → about 8.33 L and about 13,750 KRW. Round trip 200 km doubles volume to about 27,500 KRW. Raising economy to 15 drops the same 100 km to about 11,000 KRW. Seoul–Busan about 400 km at 13 km/L and 1,700 KRW is about 30.8 L and 52,300 KRW; round trip uses 800. 50 km, 10 km/L, 1,600 KRW → 5 L and 8,000 KRW. Economy 8 makes the same distance 10,000 KRW.

Put round-trip km in the distance field. Double-check one-way vs round trip.
Can I calculate hybrid fuel cost too?
Yes if you enter actual economy. Trip-computer economy is better than the official rating for hybrids.
Is fuel-cost input sent to a server?
No. Division runs only in the browser. Input is not saved.
Is the same formula used for diesel and EVs?
If price and economy match, the same math applies. For EVs you can substitute kWh price and km/kWh. Fuel type is distinguished by the price field.
How accurate is the fuel cost calculator?
It is simple math from the economy and price you enter. Real driving can differ, especially in congestion.
Can I split highway and city?
Only one set of distance and economy is accepted. Calculate twice by segment and add.
