How to use
- Click Start and a random number of the current length (3 digits at first) appears briefly on the board. The number field is locked meanwhile.
- Display time is about 900ms + length × 350ms. When the digits disappear, type the same sequence.
- Click Check or press Enter in the field. If correct, the max digits update and a new sequence one digit longer appears.
- A miss ends the round. The board compares the answer and your input, and the longest span you got right so far (memory span) remains. If you never get one right, max digits are 0.
- Click Start again to reset from length 3. It is a short-term memory game of remembering digits only.
Key concepts
Digit memory span is how many digits you can write back in order at once. This test starts at 3 digits and adds one digit on each success. Each digit is a 0–9 random, and the sequence is not reused except in the same game. Show time gets a little longer as length grows.
It is similar to memorizing a phone number, but there is no psychology-lab procedure such as distractors or delayed recognition. Focus and device typing mistakes mix into the score. It is not dementia screening or an intelligence test; the result is one round’s record in this tab. As length grows, show time gets a little longer so there is more time to memorize, but reversing the order or changing one digit still ends that round. It is not an intelligence or memory diagnosis.
Example
After Start, 472 flashes on the board then disappears; type 472 and Check. If correct, current length becomes 4 and a new four-digit number appears. Get four digits right and miss at five, and max digits are 4; the answer and what you typed appear together in the message. Start again begins at 3 digits. While it is shown, the input field and Check button are locked; you can type only after it disappears. Spaces are ignored, so 472 and 4 7 2 both count as correct. On a miss, the answer reappears on the board so you can see where it differed.

Frequently asked questions
How many digits does the memory test start with?
From 3 digits. It grows by 1 digit on each success. If you finish without getting any right, max digits are 0.
How long are the numbers shown?
About 0.9 seconds + digits × 0.35 seconds. Longer numbers are shown a bit longer. The input field is locked while they are shown.
What is the difference between max digits and current length?
Current length is the digit count you are attempting now; max digits is the length you last succeeded. On a miss only max digits remain and the round ends.
Does Hangul or picture memory work too?
Digits only. The field is meant for a number keypad. There is no Hangul or English memory task.
Is it the same as a clinical memory test?
No. It is an entertainment digit-repeat game. Do not use it for dementia screening or an intelligence test.
Is a high score saved?
When the round ends it is shown only on screen. There is no server or account save.
