HTML → meta info

Enter values, then press Calculate.

Reads title, meta description, robots, and link rel=canonical.

How to use

  1. Paste page source, especially the head section, into the HTML field.
  2. Click Extract and the result area opens with title and robots in the stats.
  3. Check the description and canonical URL in the description and canonical fields.
  4. Summary (text) gathers the four items line by line.
  5. Copy result copies the summary text; Reset clears the input and hides the result area.

Key concepts

HTML meta extraction gathers the basic tags used in search results in one place. It reads the document title, description meta, robots directive, and the canonical link URL. Names that differ only by letter case are still found. Missing values are shown as none so you can spot gaps immediately. HTML meta extraction reduces repeated work when you check a snippet before launch or paste a competitor page source to compare. The result area opens only after Extract, so after you edit the source click the button again to see whether the numbers updated.

Open Graph images, Twitter cards, and JSON-LD are not in scope. It is read with the browser document parser, so a poorly closed head can still be partly interpreted. This HTML meta extraction does not send source to a server. Copy takes the four summary-text lines, not the individual on-screen fields, so it is easy to paste into a report or issue ticket. A long title can look truncated in the stats field, so check the exact sentence in the summary text.

Example

Paste source whose head has a title, description meta, robots meta, and canonical link, then extract: stats show title and robots values, and the description and canonical fields plus four summary lines fill in. If there is no robots tag, robots is none. Copy result puts the four summary lines on the clipboard, so you can paste them as-is into an audit note.

Frequently asked questions

Which tags does HTML meta extraction read?

The document title, description meta, robots meta, and the canonical link URL. Social-only tags are not read.

How are missing values shown in HTML meta extraction?

Title and robots stats, description and canonical fields, and the summary are all filled with none so you can see omissions at a glance.

What does HTML meta extraction copy-result copy?

The four lines in the summary-text field. There is no button that copies only the title stats number.

Does HTML meta extraction also fetch Open Graph?

It does not. It targets only the four basic search items to keep output short.

Is HTML meta extraction source sent to a server?

No. Parsing happens only in the browser, and Reset hides the result area again.

Does HTML meta extraction also see body headings, not just the head?

It only reads the document title element. Use the HTML heading extraction tool for large headings in the body, and check description, robots, and canonical for search snippets in this meta extraction.
