How to use
- Enter base fee (KRW) and base time (minutes) from the rate board. The default example is 3,000 KRW and 30 minutes.
- Enter extra fee (KRW) and extra unit (minutes). Defaults are 1,000 KRW and 10 minutes.
- Enter actual parking time (minutes). The default example is 95 minutes.
- Press Calculate to see the fee. Minutes beyond the base time are added in rounded-up units.
- Daily caps, overnight discounts, and free grace time are not in this version. Use it only when inputs match the rate-board rules.
Key concepts
The parking fee calculator previews cost from minutes parked and overtime beyond the base period. Within the base time you pay only the base fee; overtime adds ceil(overtime minutes ÷ unit minutes) × extra fee. To mimic a free period, set base fee to 0 and base time to the free minutes. There is no daily cap or overnight discount.
Simple addition without a cap can look higher than a real ceiling fee for long stays. Calculation is local. Free grace can be imitated with base fee 0 KRW and base time as free minutes. If weekend rates differ, change the unit prices.
Example
Base 3,000 KRW / 30 min, extra 1,000 KRW / 10 min, parked 95 min: 65 overtime minutes round up to 7 units × 1,000 = 7,000, total 10,000 KRW. 25 minutes stays inside the base time, so 3,000 KRW. Base fee 0 KRW and base 30 min makes 25 minutes 0 KRW. Base 2,000 KRW / 20 min, extra 500 KRW / 10 min, 55 min: 35 overtime minutes round up to 4 units × 500 = 2,000, total 4,000 KRW. Base 1,000 KRW / 10 min, extra 500 KRW / 5 min, 18 min: 8 overtime minutes round up to 2 units × 500 = 1,000, total 2,000 KRW.

Frequently asked questions
Is a daily parking-fee cap applied?
This version adds without a cap. Pay the smaller of this result and the posted cap. Long stays can look higher than a real ceiling fee; compare with the ceiling.
Is parking time sent to a server?
No. Convert entry and exit times to minutes and enter them. Time is entered in minutes.
Is the parking fee in minutes?
Yes. Input is minutes. Enter 1 hour 30 minutes as 90. The minute value is not transmitted.
Can I enter free grace time?
You can treat base time as a free period and set base fee to 0. Enter 1 hour 10 minutes as 70. Two hours is 120 minutes.
Does it always match the car-park rate board?
It is a reference when inputs match the board’s rules. If weekday and weekend rates differ, enter the matching unit prices.
Does 1 extra minute still add a full unit?
Yes. Overtime is divided by the unit and rounded up. 31 minutes is base 30 + 1 minute overtime, so 1 extra unit. Even 1 minute overtime adds a unit.
