How to use
- Press Click to start on the large box. The box turns grey and shows Wait.
- When it turns green and shows Click now, click the box immediately. Wait time is random, about 2–5 seconds.
- Clicking before green shows Too soon, voids that trial, and does not include it in the average. Click the box again to resume from waiting.
- Valid clicks are recorded in milliseconds. After 5 trials you see done with average, highest (slowest), and lowest (fastest).
- Press Again to reset trials. Touch and mouse latency differ by device.
Key concepts
Reaction time is the delay from stimulus to click. This test uses the difference between when the green screen appeared (performance.now) and the click time, rounded to milliseconds. Average of 5 plus highest and lowest shows how much one miss pulls the mean.
Too-early clicks are treated as anticipatory and not recorded. Monitor refresh, browser input delay, and trackpad vs mouse mix into the score. This is not official esports gear measurement or a health diagnosis. Use it only for relative comparison on the same device. After a trial the box briefly shows the ms, then returns to Wait. Pressing Again before five trials clears the average and starts over.
Example
After start, wait on Wait then click green at 240 ms: trial 1/5 records 240 ms. Five trials of 210, 250, 230, 280, and 220 ms average about 238 ms, highest 280 ms, lowest 210 ms. Clicking in the grey stage shows only Too soon and the count does not rise. Press Again to run 5 from the start. When Done appears, clicking the box does not start a new trial; you must reset with Again. Even if Wait to Click now feels long, it is a 2–5 second random so the pattern is hard to memorize.

Frequently asked questions
How many trials is the reaction-time test?
5 valid clicks. Too-early clicks are not counted. After a void, click the box again to resume from waiting.
Is highest a faster record?
No. Highest is the slowest ms of the five; lowest is the fastest ms. Average is the arithmetic mean of the five valid trials, rounded.
Why is a click before green void?
To keep anticipatory clicks before the colour change out of the average. If Too soon appears, that trial is not recorded.
Does phone touch work?
Tap the box. Numbers can differ from a PC mouse because of touch latency.
Can I compare with pro-gamer benchmarks?
Gear and software differ, so a direct comparison is hard. This is for practice in this tab.
Are scores saved to an account?
They are not saved. Refreshing the page clears the numbers.
