How to use
- Pick A’s solar birth date on the calendar. Time is not entered.
- Pick B’s solar birth date. Both fields are required.
- Press View to see a compatibility score (20–96), A and B day stems in Korean and Chinese characters, and a short Five Phase note.
- A low score does not mean you should end the relationship. It is an entertainment comparison.
- Reset clears the dates. Manse charts, hour pillars, and luck cycles are not calculated.
- Day-stem labels are for reference and may differ by a day from an expert Manse calendar. Do not decide meetings or breakups by the score.
Key concepts: comparing day-stem Five Phases
This screen derives only the day stem (that day’s heavenly stem) from solar dates and checks whether Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water generate or control each other. A traditional “stem combination” lore slightly raises the score; the same Five Phase adds a small bonus. An age gap of 12–24 years adds one more entertainment bonus. The base score starts in the mid range, then is clamped to 20–96 after adjustments. Month pillars, hour pillars, Ten Gods, and combination/clash patterns are not used.
There are no eight Saju characters, lunar conversion, birth time, or luck cycles. The score does not predict or guarantee a breakup, marriage, or reunion. It is for entertainment and reference and does not replace a Manse calendar. A different character from an expert consultation or Manse program is not a bug report. Relationships are human choices; the number is closer to a conversation starter.
Example
Enter two solar birthdays and press View to see labels such as Gap-Wood and Gyeong-Metal plus a score. A generating pair gets a note that the pair leans toward generating each other; a controlling pair gets a deduction note. The same date on both sides often yields the same day stem and a mid-range score. Filling only one field asks you to select both dates. Compare for fun only; do not decide meetings or breakups by the score.

Frequently asked questions
Does Saju compatibility predict dating or marriage?
No. It is entertainment that turns day-stem Five Phases into a number. Do not treat it as predicting the future.
Do I also need to enter a lunar birthday?
Solar dates only. Lunar dates and leap months are not converted; pasting a lunar date as-is will misplace the day stem.
What if I do not know the birth time?
The hour pillar is not used. Only the day’s stem is compared, so the same rules apply without a time.
Does a low score mean a bad match?
It is not a verdict. It is an entertainment score clamped to 20–96, and a low number does not mean you should break up.
Can the day stem differ from a Manse app?
Solar-term and time-zone handling can shift a day. This page uses a simple day offset and is not a substitute for a Mingli program.
Are birth dates stored?
They are not stored or sent. They appear on screen only after you press View, and there is no sign-up.
