Fatigue self-check

This is not a medical diagnosis and does not name a disease.

Enter values, then press Calculate.

How to use

 1. Read the 8 recent-condition items: morning freshness, drained after a short walk, afternoon drowsiness, thinking speed, weekend recovery, and so on.
 2. On each item pick never · sometimes · often · almost every day.
 3. After all are chosen, press Score. A band does not appear if any item is blank.
 4. Check the score (/ 24), low/moderate/high, and the short note.
 5. Again clears selections. If fatigue suddenly worsens, consider care. This is not a diagnosis.
 6. For chest pain, shortness of breath, or fainting, seek emergency care instead of this score. The total does not attach a disease name.

Key concepts: fatigue score vs disease names

Chronic fatigue syndrome, anemia, thyroid disease, and sleep apnea are assessed with medical procedures such as blood tests and polysomnography. This quiz is not those tests and does not attach a disease name. It sums never/sometimes/often/almost every day (0–3) across 8 items: 8 or below is low, 16 or below moderate, above that high. Items cover morning freshness, energy after a short walk, afternoon drowsiness, thinking speed, weekend recovery, heavy shoulders/eyes, caffeine, and hobby energy.

The total is a condition reference, not medical diagnosis or treatment. A caffeine-dependence item is not an addiction verdict. It cannot replace care or counseling. If fatigue suddenly worsens or you have breathlessness, chest pain, or fainting, seek care instead of this score. If it overlaps with burnout, see the burnout self-check; neither is a diagnosis.

Example

Many “never” answers sit near the low band. Marking afternoon drowsiness and no weekend recovery as “almost every day” can raise the sum into high with a consider-care note. All “sometimes” is around 8. Leaving one blank shows only the score prompt. High does not stamp a specific disease; low does not mean rest is unnecessary.

Frequently asked questions

Is the fatigue self-check a chronic-fatigue test?

No. It is not a disease test and not a medical diagnosis. Chronic fatigue syndrome criteria are not applied.

Does it tell me about anemia or thyroid issues?

No. If you are concerned, consider a clinic visit and tests. This total does not estimate blood values.

Does it connect to sleep duration?

No. See sleep rhythm separately in the sleep cycle calculator. Bedtime is not entered in this quiz.

Will cutting caffeine lower my score?

This screen does not recalculate intake. Only changing answers changes the sum; it does not assess withdrawal or tolerance.

What if fatigue suddenly gets worse?

Do not wait on this total—consider care. For emergency symptoms (chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting), use emergency services.

Are answers stored on a server?

No. The scored result appears only briefly in this browser tab, and there is no sign-up.
