4. Press Calculate to see estimated fee and remaining ratio.

Key concepts: early repayment fees

This is a cost for paying a loan before maturity, often in the form repayment amount × fee rate × (remaining months ÷ contracted months). Some products waive after a period, slide over a 3-year remaining term, or differ for fixed vs floating. This calculator uses only the approximation above, so results are for reference and can differ from the contract.

Even if the fee feels heavy, early repayment can still win versus remaining interest. Judging from the fee alone can miss other costs, so it is better to look at monthly payment and total interest with the loan interest calculator.

Example

Repayment 50,000,000 KRW, fee rate 1.0%, remaining 24 months and contracted 36 months shows an estimated fee reflecting a remaining ratio of 2/3. Change remaining months to compare “pay now” versus “pay a little later.” If remaining is longer than contracted, the ratio is capped so it does not exceed 100%.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the early repayment fee differ from the bank app?

Day-count, waiver periods, and fixed vs floating product terms are not applied. Check the contract.

What if remaining term is longer than contracted?

The ratio is capped so it does not exceed 100%.

Is loan interest shown too?

This tool calculates the fee only. Use the loan interest calculator for monthly payment.

Where do I find the fee rate?

Check the loan contract, product guide, or the app’s early-repayment notes. This page does not guarantee any posted rate.

What is the difference between full and partial repayment?

Enter the amount you will repay. For a partial repayment, enter only that amount.

Does it affect DSR too?

If monthly principal-and-interest falls after early repayment, DSR burden can change. Estimate together with the DSR calculator.
