How to use
- Choose conversion direction: jeonse → monthly rent or monthly rent → jeonse. Default is jeonse→monthly.
- In the amount field, enter jeonse deposit or monthly rent in KRW. The default example is a 200 million KRW jeonse. Changing direction switches the label to monthly rent.

Key concepts
The jeonse–wolse conversion calculator is searched for jeonse/monthly conversion rates, converting a jeonse deposit to monthly rent, and converting monthly rent to a jeonse equivalent. The approximate formulas are monthly ≈ jeonse × rate ÷ 12, and jeonse ≈ monthly × 12 ÷ rate. Annualized interest equals jeonse×rate or monthly×12. Use this formula to ballpark a 5% conversion or a deposit-to-monthly conversion before signing.
Statutory conversion rates, Housing Lease Protection Act (주택임대차보호법) clauses, and special terms are not auto-applied in these fields. Example
Jeonse 200 million KRW, annual conversion 5%, jeonse→monthly: annualized interest 10 million KRW, monthly equivalent 833,333 KRW. In monthly→jeonse mode, monthly 833,333 KRW at 5% returns a jeonse equivalent near 200 million KRW. Lowering only the rate to 4% makes the same jeonse’s monthly equivalent about 666,667 KRW. Jeonse 300 million KRW at 5% is monthly equivalent 1.25 million KRW. Pressing Calculate with the on-screen defaults should match the figures above. Changing a field and pressing again recalculates with the same rules. For actual reporting, payment, and contracts, gazettes and agreements come first. These numbers are for reference.
