Key concepts: annual and monthly take-home tables
The “annual salary” on a job posting is not the amount that hits your account. This table uses approximate 2026 rates (National Pension 4.75%, Health Insurance 3.595%, long-term care 13.14% of the health-insurance premium, Employment Insurance 0.9%) plus progressive income tax and local income tax estimates to show take-home and deduction details by bracket at a glance.
Dependents, meal allowance, bonuses, and tax-free benefits are omitted, so figures can differ from a payslip by thousands of KRW. It does not replace NTS year-end settlement or company payroll and is for reference.
Example
The monthly table walks through brackets such as 2,000,000, 2,500,000, and 3,000,000 KRW. As total deductions grow, the take-home increase looks smaller than the gross raise. Switching to the annual table applies the same rates to yearly inputs. Looking only at rows near your bracket helps before a negotiation.

Frequently asked questions
Is meal allowance missing from the 2026 monthly take-home table?
Yes. Tax-free meal allowance and dependent deductions are not included. For individual inputs, use the monthly or annual take-home calculators.
Are four-insurance contribution caps applied?
This is a simple rate multiply plus an income-tax estimate. Items such as the National Pension standard monthly income cap are simplified.
Is this a freelancer 3.3% table?
It assumes employee withholding. For contract work, see freelancer 3.3%.
How is monthly pay derived on the annual table?
Annual salary is divided by 12, then the same monthly deduction logic is applied as an approximation.
Are company welfare points omitted too?
Anything not entered is omitted. Only contracted annual salary is assumed.
Are table numbers stored on the server?
No. They are drawn in the browser.
