Key concepts
The weekly holiday allowance calculator (주휴수당) is found when people look up part-time weekly holiday pay, hourly weekly holiday pay, or a monthly conversion. This screen’s approximation is weekly holiday pay (week) = hourly wage × contracted hours per day. Weekly contracted hours are shown as hours per day × days per week only; the pay formula multiplies contracted hours per day. Use it to ballpark part-time weekly holiday pay, monthly pay including weekly holiday pay, or whether 15 hours per week qualifies.
Under the Labor Standards Act, paid weekly holiday leave has requirements such as perfect attendance and contracted work. Under 15 hours per week or with an absence, actual pay may be none, but this tool still only multiplies the numbers. The monthly factor 4.345 approximates 52 weeks ÷ 12. Whether part-time weekly holiday pay is added into monthly pay or listed as a separate item follows the workplace payroll items. Results are for reference and can differ from the Labor Standards Act and the contract.
Example
Hourly wage 10,030 KRW, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week → weekly contracted 40.0 hours, weekly holiday pay (week) 80,240 KRW, monthly conversion 348,643 KRW. Changing only the day to 4 hours gives weekly holiday pay (week) 40,120 KRW. Changing only the hourly wage to that year’s minimum wage reruns the same formula. 5 days, 8 hours/day, 10,000 KRW/hour → weekly holiday pay (week) 80,000 KRW, monthly conversion about 347,600 KRW. Pressing Calculate with the on-screen defaults should match the results written above. Change only the fields and press again to recalculate under the same rules. Actual reporting, payment, and contracts must follow official notices and the agreement. These numbers are for reference.
